Why Is Direct Marketing Better?

The answer is simple. Control. Without control, it's a gamble, a higher risk of failure.  It's testing is founded on the Scientific Method which is how discoveries and invetions are developed in the shortest timeframe.

Can you do it yourself?  You can try.  You can also try doing your own taxes, defending yourself in legal matters, fixing your computer or TV, repairing your car, teaching your children or investing your savings.  If you do most of those things by yourself, how'd it going?  Well.  If it's going well, that's a rare exception.

Direct Marketing is better because there's a proven process.   That makes it better than all other forms of marketing.  How proven?  Like back as far as the 30's and 40's.   In fact, it's getting more difficult to find marketing communications that don't in whole or in part reply on fundamental Direct Marketing strategies.

Direct Marketing isn't just Direct Mail. Direct Mail gave birth to Direct Marketing and is still a very significant factor in many marketing programs. Direct Marketing is a mind set understands it's all about control, about minizing risk, minimizing expense and maximizing revenues.  Can you repeat your marketing successes with maximum certainty?  Or have you just been lucky so far?  Want your future to depend on luck?

Direct Marketing has lots of new labels, but no matter what it's called, it's about both sides of marketing communications - Outbound and Inbound.  And it's the Inbound side that's always allowed it to be better.
